- 4 tracks (27:55)AVR is proud to unleash Dan Veytia and Protocollie - Aumento, still fresh from AVR's first compilation "Live It Up. Play It Loud. Vol. 1". Taking its name for the Italian word for "rise", Aumento is a cross-genre peaktime anthem with an extended breakdown that explodes into chaos, with a catchy melody and strong bassline. On the remix side of the release are three diverse takes on the original. First up is Oddy, who puts his amazing spin on the melody, adding a chugging electro house bassline and choir lines. Next up on remix duty is Aaron prime, building up the track by adding new and original melodies, as well as a gargantuan trance-influenced breakdown, to be followed by a nasty bassline sure to throw the entire dancefloor into a frenzy. Lastly, Genettic throws down an excellent breakbeat take, complete with growling bass stabs and hints at the original.

I am very excited to announce that the full single for Aumento, my track with Protocollie, will be hitting Beatport shelves on Addictive Vibe Records on March 21st!Four hard-hitting tracks will be included: first up being the original mix, which has already been out for about a month on AVR's compilation "Live It Up. Play It Loud. Vol 1" to great support.
On the remix side of things we have three excellent and eclectic remixes. The first is by Oddy, who took an awesome electro house spin on the tune, complete with choirs and grinding, chugging basslines. The second is by Aaron prime, who expertly added a trance breakdown followed by a completely mental electro-inspired drop, sure to turn the dancefloor upside down. Last but certainly not least, we have a breakbeat remix from Genettic, who cleverly added his own twist on the tune as well.

I like making fucking fun music that I like. The last thing I ever want is to have other people’s opinions change how I want to make music. That’s the scary thing. I’ll be honest, it’s not fucking easy. I try to avoid seeing what people say about me. People come up to me and say, “Man, so many people hate on you, just do your thing.” And I’m “OK, man, don’t fucking tell me about it anymore.” I’ll fail, to myself at least, if I let that get the best of me and try to be something that isn’t me.
I remember seeing the full Daft Punk pyramid show in 2007. I went alone, drove up in my Honda Fit, bought a ticket off a scalper for $150, got on the floor, and had the best time of my life. I didn’t have a drink, no drugs. But I was high out of my mind. It changed my life. This is gonna sound really lame, but try to take it the right way: There have been a couple times where I’ve been so proud of what I’ve done live, like I feel like I’ve given someone the same kind of feeling I got at that Daft Punk show. And that feels so good.

Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes. Shame they never made a sequel to this, I would have watched the crap out of it as much as I did this one. One of the few cases where the book was probably just as good as the movie. I’m a sucker for British comedies.
